18:40 – Drone infiltration alarms sound for over 15 minutes across western Galilee

Alarm sirens warning against a hostile drone infiltration sounded for over 15 minutes across the western Galilee, starting in Arab al-Aramsheh, Hanita, Shlomi and Betzet.

In Hanita, rocket alarm sirens were also activated, possibly as a precaution against shrapnel from interceptor missiles.

The sirens widened to include the area of Rosh Hanikra, and shortly after, were also activated in Nahariya and nearby communities.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage

14:16 – Hezbollah fires 30 rockets at Karmiel and the Lower Galilee

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that following the sirens in the Karmiel area, medics and paramedics were dispatched to several locations where impacts were reported.

At one site, they found two people, approximately 45 years old, who were injured by shrapnel and were treated at the scene. Their condition is described as good. Additionally, a direct hit on a house in Majd al-Krum was confirmed.

According to the IDF, 30 rockets were launched from Lebanon. “Most of them were intercepted, and impacts were identified in the area,” the statement said.

11:14 – 6.1 earthquake shakes eastern Turkey and northern Syria

An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 hit eastern Turkey, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center.

The quake took place about 30 km (18 miles) south of the town of Baskil, at a depth of 9 km(5.6 miles) below the earth, the EMSC reported.

Syria’s news outlets reported the earthquake was felt in the northern provinces of Hasakah, Deir Al Zor and Aleppo.

09:49 – Israeli intelligence foils another Iranian assassination plot in Israel

Shin Bet and the Israel Police arrested an Israeli citizen who agreed to assassinate an Israeli scientist on behalf of an Iranian intelligence service in exchange for $100,000.

He had carried out several tasks for the Iranian intelligence before, including hanging posters, spraying graffiti and collecting information. He also acquired a gun to carry out the assassination.

“The war between the Shin Bet and Iran is escalating. The sequence of affairs that have been revealed and will be revealed illustrates Iran’s ceaseless efforts to recruit, activate and harm inside Israel,” a Shin Bet official told Israeli media.

“Those who choose, during wartime, to work for Iranian intelligence agencies for money – will pay a heavy price.”

On Tuesday, Shin Bet revealed that a similar plot was foiled after two other Israelis were arrested.

07:21 – IDF resumes airstrikes in Beirut after six days without attacks in the capital

Israel Defense Forces confirmed that it conducted an attack on Beirut’s Dahiyeh district, stating that a strategic munitions cache was struck in an underground warehouse.

This follows Lebanese reports of an attack on the Hezbollah terrorist organization’s stronghold in the capital.

It was noted that the strike was conducted based on precise information from Israel’s Intelligence Directorate, and measures were taken beforehand to minimize the risk of civilian casualties, including warnings to the local population.

07:15 – Delta and Wizz airlines continue Israel flight ban until 2025

In separate statements on Tuesday, Delta and Wizz Air announced that they will extend their suspension of flights to Israel through 2025.

Wizz Air said it would suspend its flights to Israel until mid-January 2025, while Delta said it would continue its ban on connections to Tel Aviv through the end of March after an earlier announcement said flights would be halted until the end of 2024.

Both airlines had announced flight suspensions due to “security concerns” amid the ongoing fighting in southern Lebanon and Gaza, and escalating tensions between Iran and Israel.

01:43 – Rocket sirens blare in Safed, Rosh Pina, and surrounding areas in the Upper Galilee

The IDF spokesperson reported that approximately 50 rockets were launched from Lebanon toward Safed and the surrounding area. Some of the rockets were intercepted, while others landed in the region.

Following the heavy rocket barrage directed at Safed and the surrounding area, the Safed Municipality announced that a rocket landed in the private yard of a home, causing damage to the structure from shrapnel.

Additionally, two individuals sustained minor injuries while attempting to reach a protected area and were evacuated to the hospital.

01:19 – Israeli official on US embargo threat: “The message is taken seriously, we will address the concerns”

An Israeli official in Washington responded to the unusual U.S. embargo threat, stating that Israel is examining the message it received.

“Israel takes this issue seriously and intends to address the concerns raised in the letter sent to it,” the official told Reuters.

It was previously reported that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin informed Israel that if it does not stop obstructing the transfer of American humanitarian aid to Gaza within 30 days, the Biden administration would invoke the “National Security Memorandum” and block arms transfers to Israel, in accordance with the assistance law.

00:22 – Sirens sound in the Upper Galilee: hostile aircraft infiltration

Warning sirens were activated in Kfar Yuval and Kfar Giladi in the Upper Galilee, alerting residents to the infiltration of a hostile aircraft.

The IDF reported that two drones entered Israeli airspace from Lebanon, crossing into the Upper Galilee. Impact sites were identified in the region.
